With the ankle injury I've been so bored its driving me crazy. I'm usually a pretty fit person, out and about skating, jogging and working out. But all this xbox and couch time is driving me nuts. If anyone has a new hobby for me that involves a lot of sitting, email me and let me know! Maybe I'll take up knitting... 1 month down, 1 to go.

Broken Ankles and the Boarding House

In the 11 years I've been skateboarding, I've never had a super bad injury. On the last week of September I was on a trip with Olive Skateboards. On the last day of the trip I slipped out and sat on my leg and broke my ankle. As you can see, it sucked. 5 days in the hospital, 2 surgeries, 7 screws, 27 staples and 2 weeks on T3s' I'm feeling much better. So its back to work! With the snowboard session written off from the injury, it looks like all I will be doing this winter is working.


Boarding House is a sweet shop in Medicine Hat. It was great to be able to work on the website for them, plus a bunch of sweet t-shirt designs that should be ready soon.

Once I get back into the swing of things, I'll be getting around to doing a face lift of the folio site.

This was such a great logo project to work on. The guys at Haven really know their stuff and have one of the sickest shops I've ever seen. If you haven't been by the store yet, you have to go! Its just by Grant Mac Downtown and I guaranteed you will be blow away by clothing and store.

Medicine Hat Skateboard Association
Beat the Heat Contest is on July 1st. $5000 dollars for first place! Everyone figure out a way to
get down to Med Hat for this one because it will be such a great event! Stuart Young does an amazing job with MHSA so check out the site for more details.

New Stuff!

Swerve Skateboard Shop is a dope shop on the north side of Edmonton. The new location is a block away from the Castle Downs Skatepark, so next time you go skate Castle Downs, you should give them a visit. I got to do some fun work for them making some t-shirt and board graphics. The shirts are available now!

Rescue 100

If you have been watching the Local News lately, you would have heard the story about the 27 horses that were left for dead at a nearby horse ranch. The rest of the herd has been taken away from the owner, with no where to go, they were going to get put down.

Susan Fyfe and a group of concerned breeders and trainers have started a group to help save these horses. Just the start up cost of seizure and transportation is $15000. They are looking for donations and volunteers to help out. After hearing the news I knew that Susan would get involved. Just the kind of person she is. I was really honored when she thought of me to design and set up the website. Though it was a long day of work (now 3am) it was worth it to help out the cause.

Back To Work

That was my view from the hotel room a couple weeks ago, and now its straight back to work.


Here's a sneak peak of the new Medicine Hat Skateboard Association Website. I had a meeting with my good friend Stu Young this weekend and he has some big plans for the Med Hat Skate Scene. Grip it and Rip it contest will be even bigger this summer, and the indoor park getting new stuff built everyday. The site should be online pretty soon.

This is the sneak peak at Keno Hills Stable and Tack Shop. A huge horse stable just by Elk Island Nation park. Its also the home of Ryan Fyfe-Brown, who will have a full video part in this years video.
